Strap on your skis, and submerge yourself only a little way from the Pinzgauer Hütte lodge in the dream pistes on the Schmittenhöhe. An overnight stay in our lodge is a very special experience. Wake up in the middle of the Schmittenhöhe skiing region, and be one of the first to swing your skis on freshly-prepared pistes!
The skiing region of Schmittenhöhe, which can always guarantee snow, offers a total of 77 kilometres of piste and highlights such as the Trass slope, a Skimovie section and the world’s longest fun slope. With the new Ski Alpin Card you can get to Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn with just one card.
Endless skiing fun awaits you on 408 premium kilometers of slopes with 121 lifts.
An approx. 800 m-long skiing path from the Kapellenbahn valley station will take you directly to our unique lodge. You can drive back to the piste via a motor-driven sledge. Ski tourers can reach the Pinzgauer Hütte lodge after an approx. 2-hour climb from Piesendorf. After a short rest and some refreshments on our sun terrace, the tours can continue up onto the Maurerkogel mountain (approx. 1h) or the Gernkogel mountain (approx. 2h).
House guests who stay with us overnight can park near the Areit valley station (P4). You can hand in your luggage at the Areitbahn 3 mountain station, after which it will be transported by us personally to the lodge.
In case of a planned overnight stay, you should travel at the latest by 15:00 hrs with the Areitbahn mountain lift to the Schmittenhöhe, so that your winter holiday at the Pinzgauer Hütte lodge can start in comfort.
